I have a heat treating oven that I started to build many years ago. I am interested in donating this oven to the guild or giving it to one of the members who would be willing to complete it.

The basic box was cast from a refractory material. The walls are about 3 1/2 thick. The size is: Outside- 20wx14hx18 1/2d with door in place. Inside- 13wx7 1/2hx11 1/2d useable space.

Electrical heating elements are used to provide heat to the oven. I have the elements, a temperature controller and a thermocouple. All that is needed to complete the oven is to drill holes for the thermocouple and elements and install, wire the thermocouple and elements to the control, obtain a starter box and wire that in, and figure out how to mount the door so that it opens and closes quickly and easily. Of course the wiring must be completed according to code with the appropriate conduit, electrical boxes and grounding systems.

If anyone is interested in this, please drop me an email or call.
