Sorry guys but the RWL deal is off.

I got a phonecall this morning from the middleman in the deal. He had just talked directly to the guys at Damasteel. They had recieve a very angry letter from the american distributor of Damasteel. I donīt know the contenst other than my name was mentionen and that they will not deal with us because of this letter.

I think it is silly. We started out talking to the danish distributor about the deal and he said he had no interst in giving us the discount we could get directly from Damasteel. So he understood why we wanted to do it our self....

I canīt see how a few bars of RWL can damage any buisness in the US other than people get to know how much they make on it.

I was not in this to earn money....just to save some. I was interested in getting more people to know RWL since it is a great steel. And finally when I get a good deal I tell my friends about it so they can join in. Well I guess in the future I will just stick to my self.

Sorry to hear it, Jens. Some folks here have just absolutely insured that they will never see a nickel of my business.

Jens, I was not in on your deal but I can sure empathize with how you are feeling right about now. I think Don has the right idea...maybe if a few folks let it be known what kind of people this US location has....

There is only one U.S. distributor. How very unfortunate.

There are some options. I live a relatively short distance from the canadian distributor. Just got a package yesterday.

that is the US distributor i believe (according to damasteel's manufacturers website)

has anybody contacted him to see if he will offer any kind of bulk discount? (or is that why you went directly to the manufacturer to begin with?)
