It looks like it has been shut down by eBay: "This listing (6528183625) has been removed by eBay or is no longer available." It's unfortunate that there seems to be no shortage of scam artists who try to rip off unsuspecting knife nuts. If the deal sounds to good to be true, then most likely it is. Moosehead thewap 04-25-2005, 10:21 PM Yup, when I glanced at the auction, my first reaction was "whoa!, no way!" then I remembered, too good to be true dude", then I remembered, "hey that was on ebay a while back allready!" Then I remembered, " I'm getting old, it takes me a while to remember things.." Seussbrother 04-26-2005, 06:49 PM I don't think the knives sold the first time around. The REAL owner is selling them one at a time on ebay now. He has stopped the scam auctions so many times he's bound to have callouses from typing "Dear ebay". Seussbrother thewap 04-27-2005, 05:52 AM Hi Seuss!, poor guy! (the seller) . The dead give away to a scam is the "off ebay" buy it now option, by emailing the seller. Or the "only to pre-approved bidders" option. (that one is dangerous as they can scam you through email and spy engines to break into your computer). When I see those on an auction, I immediately think....YEAH RIGHT! no way . | |
