Hi guys
Anyone know where to locate pure carnauba wax ? The stuff at the auto parts stores always has some additive in it.
Any help is appreciated.

Scott,if you are talking about the cake, for putting on a hard buffing wheel, for burnishing,it is made by Fiebings, the last I got was from Schutz Bros.,Leather supplies.1-800-348-0576.They have a great catalog, full of good stuff, and they know leather.Hope this helps.

I buy mine from the woodworking supply houses. They usually sell a three-buff set with abrasives and the wax. Look under those ads and they have just the wax for sale, too. REALLY good stuff for finishing wood, antler.

In auto part stores look for either "Mothers" or "Gliptone" they are the only two (that I know of) that are just wax and no additives. I was in the Auto parts biz for a while so I know. Careful with them, they make both with and without abrasives.

Try Woodcraft woodworkers supply in Austin or Lee Valley Tools. Both sell carnuba in blocks for wood turning.
