I tried to register with Blade Auction. I filled out
the form properly and submitted it. It accepted the submission as valid, and said that I would received a 6 digit id# by E-Mail. It added that if I did't receive the
number within ten minutes I would have to send an e-mail to
the service desk requesting the #. The number didn't come
in my E-Mail. I've now sent a half a dozen E-mails to both
the service desk and the front desk over the last three
days. I never receive any answer. Anyone have any idea how
I can contact someone to complete the registration? It's
getting pretty frustrating. Thanks.

I had that exanct same problem:acceptance but no digits. Also, I am apprehensive about these inept clowns having my credit card information.

The inept clown that owns and operates Bladeuction is Joshua Burbank. He also runs another site known as PVK.com (Pioneer Valley Knife). You can contact him directly at 2004@pvk.com . I have frequently been disappointed by Mr. Burbank. I think that he means well, but once you begin correpsondence with him about an issue it soons turn into his incessant ramblings about how impossible it is for him to single-handedly maintain the website, manage inventory, deal with receivables and payables and God forbid, customer service. Hey. Hire some help or get out of the business.

I have been a BA member for years. I have purchased many quality, sometimes rare, knives thruogh Bladeauction. The beauty of that site is in it's memebrship. Ther are some very solid people of integrity that participate on BA. The site has been established long enough that there is a significant following. In fact, I have made some great friends through that site with whom I buy, trade and sell knives independently now.

There is a trick to avoiding giving your credit card info to the inept clowns. By the way, inept as he is on a service level, I have never had a problem with the credit card, but I have probably just been lucky. Anyway, the trick is to apply for and secure a credit card with a very low credit limit. Use that one for Bladeauction, Ebay, whatever. If it is compromised, cancel it. Then you're not out a bundle. Actually most of the BA guys like Paypal and money orders. Of course, if you use Paypal, your credit card info is already in the hands of the Dark Side.

Anyway, I hope your Bladeauction woes are soon resolved. It is a fun and useful site and extremely easy to navigate. I'll give him that. If you follow though on this, post another reply if you would like references to some of the better members on BA. I am sure that there are a few clowns that you will want to avoid, but I have come to know some of the better folks.

Good Luck!
