Rade Hawkins had some beautiful hawk handles for sale. Check with him and see if they are still available. This shot is from the CKD Supply center.

Bob, your neighbors got any trees. To bad you don't live out here in Oregon, you could trim my birch trees and have a life time supply. You been making some hawks? I'd like to see a picture when you done. Ray

I am thinking about making two Hawks. One for a friend and a matching one for myself. Have not started anything yet. Not real sure if Hawks is what I will make for sure but will make some eventually so might as well look into handles now.

Bob,

I have no contacts for handles as pretty as these but if you want a plain hickory handle, I live amounst many handle mills and have contacts with a couple of them.

If you want to make your own handle, check out MapleLeaf Hardwoods.com. I bought some beautiful maple from them.

Thanks Rade. I will be contacting you soon to get some. I am currently looking for someone that has a drift that I can borrow for drifting out the hole to fit the handle. Looks like it will be harder to find than I thought. I don't know the dimentions of the handle to make my own so I may be forced to buy a cheap handle to use as a model for a drift. But I will be wanting curly maple handles before long. I'll let you know.

I would like to thank everyone for the help.

Rade's right. Centaur Forge has them. Here's a link to the hawk drifts:

Why didn't I think of looking under hammers for drifts?

Thanks, I guess they will get MORE of my money.

Great information about handles. Anyone know where to buy the actual blade portion?

Id prefer a stainless head if possible. The ideal would be if I could design the head myself and have it created somewhere.

Thanks!

Most people here would forge their own tomahawk heads. There may be someone that knows where to buy them, so check back later.

I think he wanted to buy a premade "HEAD" of the tomahawk, not the drift.

Yea, I don't have the equipment to make a head right now. Was hoping to find one premade.
