Looking for a new folder, principally for hunting, cleaning deer and turkeys.

Want a folder, and thinking about a Lakota falcon or something a little bigger.

Any suggestions, recommendations ?

I want a good knife in $50 -$150 price range; folder; as small as is functional for this task.

Ideas about the Lakota ... or other brand/models?

I'm really dumb about this one. 8o Your thoughts and counsel are welcomed!

I am by no means a pro but for deer you will want something with a blade around four inches with a pronounced belly to skin the hide easier. For turkey i would like a straighter narrower blade to move around the small bones. To many choices. As long as you pick a blade from a reputable company you should be allright. This question may also get more responses in the factory knife forums.I have never heard of the Lakota brand so i cant comment on it.

Groundhog,

most of us guys make folders, but to answer your question (I think) for a production knife you still can't go wrong with a Buck 110 folder (you can even get them yet with the titanium handle, finger grooves)--hope this answers your question--Dan
