Anyone know of any good places to get a decent motor at a good price? I am interested in 1.5 hp single phase 115v for use on a grinder.

Howdy,
You can check eBay, they always have some listed, Tractor Supply (TSC) carries GE and I think they run around $175 or so. You can try a search for some of the surplus sites and see what they have, or search for electric motor, there are a ton of online dealers. One suggestion would be to get a TEFC(totally enclosed), it is amazing how much grit, shavings, and sometimes body parts, just kidding about the last one, manages to find its way into and all over everything.
