Say, based on the other folder knife kits you've seen, how would you rate the ralph 605 kit? Quality? What's required to finish one?
I've been asked to build a folder for someone and this particular knife looks pretty decent compared to the other folder kits at Koval.
(though I have'nt seen one in person) What do you think?

These kits are simply the best you can buy!! Check out the kit knife forum sor some examples. In particular look for the posts from Rade and Don Cowles, those 2 are pros that took the time to check out the kits, you can see their opinions and results of the work. You will not be disappointed in these!!

I'll second the positive comments on the Darell Ralph folder kits. I've assembled several dozen over the past year, and the fit and finish has been of consistent excellent quality. I had expected to at least do some filing and fitting of the lock components, but they worked perfectly as delivered. The only minor problem with the original, larger 605 folder is that the ball detent doesn't engage sharply when the blade is closed, and may require slight, additional pressure from the liner spring for secure, closed retention. The smaller, mini-605 has the same size ball/detent and works well, as provided.
