I just finished this one. After several hundred stamped, overlayed, inlayed and plain sheaths I had to try carving.I have a long way to go,and I have carved up about all my scrap practising. I would like to thank Sandy my good buddy who helped me get started. This one is going to a charity auction.
You all should try this , as it is alot of fun and it is quite addictive.Back to practise some more.

Howdy Dave -
Hmm next thing we know Sandy will have you making holsters and belts and.... 8o
And speaking of the "old Man" he may not have created the addiction for me but we definitely share it! :101

ANyway nicely done amigo - No reflection on your leather skills  - but there was a bit too much on the knife and the sheath was a bit dark so I took the liberty of doing some Photoshopping so we could all see this piece better - hope you don't mind:

Jim - Take the plunge - it really is just a matter of jumping in and doing it....

Thank you Chuck, both for the compliment and the photo fix. I still think we need to work on our other Colorado friend.I harassed him long enough to do an inlay and he did a great job.
Take care,Dave :)
