I like it...I'm one for tactical knives, and that one definately foots the bill. Why aren't tactical knives well liked by makers?
Nice, that steel found a good home :101 .

I guess because after awhile they just all look the same. Mostly it is just a joke to crack on them because of the clone factor. Well thought out and fresh looking knives are always a treat to see. That one looks like it fits both. Nice job!

Just IMHO... the tactical trend has its fans and detractors. No different from which football team you support. Some makers want to get far, far away from the "martial" or combative aspects of knives, which is fine. But I think tactical is not just about fighting, defense or killing for that matter. Its about having a well-prepared tool on hand for a range of jobs while under duress. To me, thats TACTICAL.
I feel that if you can make a very simple, yet functional tactical knife it sets the benchmafrk for you to make more fancy or embellished and artistic knives. To me, tactical implies that the functional aspects of the knife must be totally, and completely dealt with. It needs to open, close, lock, cut, grip, stow away, etc. safely and effectively. And thats a LOT to achieve.
OK, enough ...
Jeremy, you should be proud. Clean, hard working design. Jason.

Great looking knife Jeremy! You said that the tactical style isn't to popular on this forum, but it's kind of funny because it really goes in stages. This forum will go for a while where topics on traditional knives are more popular, and then it will go for a while where topics on tactical knives are more popular. While I personally lean toward the traditional style, I say that all styles are welcome here. Keep up the good work. -chris

Thanks for the replies everyone.
As for "Tactical", I really don't like the word. Its thrown around to much. I just like carbon fiber, and I love recurve blades. I really just want to build hard use knives, and when you put all these together this is what you get. Last weekend my wife and I went out to eat, and I didn't get a steak knife with my steak. So out came MY knife. That's about as "tactical" as I get.
Jason: Your work is a big inspiration to me. Great stuff...
