I know people are always looking for inspiration.
Click4pics (http://www.thecustomshoppellc.com/) Then click on historical knives, then Scagel.

Roc,
Just found this. Thanks for the link. I bet you'll enjoy this picture. Just snapped it at the Batson Bladesmithing Symposium this past weekend (4/2/05) down in Alabama. This is the case of Scagel knifes Dr. Jim Lucie brought down to display. He gave a great talk about how he applies the blade finish on his Scagel reproduction knives, for which he is well known. Anyway, here's the pic (yes I added the star spectral - just for fun!).

Great pic Buddy! I ws just thinking of that case the other day. I remember us standing in front of it, picking those up one at a time, reluctantly setting them back down. What a treat and how generous of Dr. Lucie to share them like that.

Point me to a thread where I can read all about the Batson Sym. :D

Here is a link with a pic of that bird and trout with the slipjoint built into the handle.

Thanks Roc and Buddy. That's a great way to start a Friday, seeing photos of some Scagel work. Very inspiring.
