I thought you all would like to know that I got a "Merry Christmas" phone call from Neil Charity last night.
He has had a very difficult year, and is still awaiting a lung transplant, but has bought himself a 5-string banjo and is learning to play bluegrass! He sounded great, and he hopes to be back involved in forums and knifemaking soon.

Yes, what Chris said! Bless your heart Neil ! Hang in there buddy. I'm still benefiting from your tutorial, and will be forever indebted to you for that. That banjo just Has to be a kick to play. I tried once, but I couldn't do it. That takes a gifted, talented person. (I can play a bass though, they're easy). Anyway Neil, you have a great holiday season (you also Don). It's always nice hearing news about you from down under.
