This is a sheath that I made from a pattern by Master Craftsman Martin "Sandy" Morrissey.
I had the opportunity to spend about 3 hours at Sandy's place a couple of weeks ago. I had a knife with me that needed a sheath. (Not this one).
Sandy took my knife and a piece of poster board and within 5 minutes made a pattern for the knife. When I returned home, I made a sheath from Sandy's pattern, and it was a perfect fit.
I utilized the knowledge gained from Sandy and made this one based on the same pattern. It was my first time at trying a "basket-weave", and I discovered quickly that basket-weaving is no easy task.
I learned more from Sandy in those few hours than I would ever gain in years of trial and error.
Thank you Sandy..........You are a true Master Craftsman, and even more..........a "True Gentleman". You have given me the encouragement to continue.
