It has come to my attention that some are selling platen liners at a reduced rate, and although being dubbed as "ceramic" liners, I'm told they are not pyro-ceram. I have settled on the pyro-ceram after considerable research and taking the needs of knifemakers into consideration...not as a draw to my site to further sales of other supplies. As they say "you get what you pay for".

By now most know the benefits of the pyroceram, and this is just a note to let you know I am still stocking the sizes shown below and can have special sizes cut per request.
2" x 9" = $16

2" x 8" = $15

2" x 7" = $14

2" x 6" = $13

1" x 5" = $7

1" x 4" = $6

+$3.85 for Priority/USPS shipping.

Payment can be made to our " knives4u3@juno.com " Paypal account. Thank you.

Ok Steve, this is an out and out jab at me and is uncalled for. You sell Pyroceram and I sell another brand of ceramic material. For your information, the material I sell has a lower coefficient of linear expansion than your material, the same flatness, same high temperature rating, and same low coefficient of friction, but it is a moot point, they both work well for what they are used for, an application they were not designed for in the first place. I do not mark up my material as much as you do, I could, but I don't, it has nothing to do with quality, it has everything to do with how I do business. Compare the prices of the exact same things on my site to the price others charge and you will see a general trend.

I have to say I am disappointed in you for posting this B.S. You know the story, as I've told it to you before. I refrained from selling ceramic platen liners for a long while and let you have total run of the market. It wasn't until Bader started selling them at shows and hammer-ins that it became open game in my opinion. In fact, when someone requests a size I don't carry, I refer them to you. This post by you makes me wonder if that has been a prudent business decision.

The get what you pay for thing sounds all well and good, but in this case it is B.S., and you know it Steve. What engineering background do you have that qualifies you to do "research" and interpret quantitative results? This is the first time you've taken an open jab at me (you've done it through other means before, but this is the first on an open forum that I know of) and I am sorely disappointed in you. I am done with this and will not respond to any further posts by you, you've just shown me the fabric you are made from.

As have you Darren. By saying that I "made a jab at you", You confessing that You ARE only selling it as a draw to your site..?lol I still have to chuckle about this since you called me while I was in the hospital acting all upset that someone else was selling the material. Can you see the irony here, bud..?lol

As for "my qualifications": for one...several more years of life experiece, that you seem to lack. I hope you're a bit more honest and above board with others than you have been with me.lol

Does the way you "do business" include you jumping on my sales thread letting people know you once sold a similar product for less, whether it concerned you or not.

You're right though, maybe my markup is a bit much, so I will edit my prices to match your's. :lol
