A 12 layer Turkish Damascus twist is composed of four bars in 15N20 and 1084 steels. The handle is curly maple with antler; there is a mokume furrule in brass & copper at 24 layers. The tang extends all the way through the handle and is undercut & glued in the traditional Scandinavian manner. The sheath is leather & curly maple from the same piece as the handle bearing a cocobolo insert with mother of pearl inlay... oh, yeah, Blade 6.5" ; Handle 5". :)
