Here is somthing I did last nite.

It is what I have heard Ron Claiborn refer to as "Floor Sweep" damascus, you basicly collect all the bits and pieces off the floor around the chop saw and weld them togather!
This was made from several stubs that were left over from previous billets, there is some chainsaw, some plain layered stuff, cable, a chunk of 3200 layer stuff, and mabe even a piece of a powder billet in the mix.

I started with a "Plate" of flattened damascus, big enough to stack pieces onto, then Id add a piece, forge weld it, then add another piece. I folded lengthwise several times and folded side to side several times, hoping to make the pattern homoginouse, but I was really suprised when I etched after forging and grinding! One side is what I expected, more of a gnarly "chunky" random pattern, but the other side is mainly lines! HMMM

Guess you just never know!!

Here it is

Thanks Guys!

Larry the owner has yet to be specified. Just had a whim and needed to beat out some frustrations. It's amazing how 4 hours of hammer work will take the fight out of ya!

God Bless
Mike
