Much has been talked about in the Custom knife community of knives and makers producing 'investment' quality blades. Like the stock market, it takes good insight and homework to spot them early on. It's real.

Going back—wayyy back if you like, and up until the present, I'll pose a question: What factory/production knives have somehow turned into diamonds? Are there production anomolies that are very rare and are worth more because of an abnormality?

What other stories have you heard and experienced. I'm curious and wish to know more.

I remember a story a couple of years ago, where some woman was selling off the Case knife she found in 'grandpa's tacklebox'. She figured it to be worth $20-50 bucks. Three days into the eBay auction the bidding was clamoring to $800 and demanding more photos. It ended up selling for well over one thousand. :)
