I was wondering if anyone has a chart that cross refrences the following:
inch Decimal Mil. Drill size Tap size screw size die size
I would like to find a chart that I can easily know what size of X to use if I have size Y of something.
For example, If I use 2-56 screws, what tap do I use to tap the liners. Or if I want to tap for 2-56, what drill bit size do I use.
It would be great if this already exists but if not, I guess I will create it.

Bob,
MSC has a decimal equivalent chart in the back of their catalog. Is that what you're looking for?

TKS sells a reference chart for like $1 next time you order, but any tooling supplier will sell or even give you one when you trade with them.
Until then, I found a couple sites with some help...

Thanks for your help.
I was hoping for a chart that has the following (or more) for all sizes:
Tap__Threads___drill size___decimal drill size___Countersink__Countersink depth
2____56________50_______.0700___________.180______ ___.048
This way I know that if I want a 2-56 screw for something I need a size 50 drill bit.
All of the charts I can find only tell me PART of what I want to know. Maybe I will just make my own by combining them all.

Pick up a copy of the Machinery's Handbook. Has everything you would ever want to know about shop work.

BOB, THE CHART FROM TKS GIVES YOU THE INFO, THAT YOU MENTIONED. I HAVE ONE, IN A GLASS FRONT FRAME SITTING ABOVE MY DRILLING STATION.
