This is now on it's way here. It's in almost perfect condition...no chips, breaks or other problems. One clump of surface rust and dirt which can be seen in the pic here:

I wonder how hard it would be to forge something like this. I plan on making copies of the knives I have and I thought some of the other oddities might be cool as well.

P.S. wasn't a bad price either! :D

Is that an arrow head or a spear-point? Alas, there is no description on the ebay page...

I got it in today and it's pretty incredible! I've been dying to get one in this condition! It's a big arrowhead...I'm guessing. Cheroballista maybe? The head is ~3.5" long overall with a socket that widens to a little over 3/8" and is about 1.5" across the tips of the barbs. It is completely in tact. Socket is uniform, no chips or dents, The tip is folded 90* over about 1mm at th every tip. There's some crud stuck to it at the tip as well, but a little careful picking should clear this. The square crossection of the ferrule is hardly erroded and the grain of the iron is well evident. I'll be puttin up some scans and pics of this one for sure!

You're a serious eBay scavenger Don :)

That looks like a good arrowhead. I definitely want to see that when it's been cleaned up. Then I want to see your own versions
