Texas is a "horse-tradin'" state I have found in the years I have lived here.
What's the biggest thing anyone has traded for a knife? Either you traded for the knife or traded a knife of your own.

I traded a set of kitchen knives and cash for a new roof on the house.

Biggest trade I have worked out so far is with a friend of mine apprenticing under a tattoo artist-

He gets a damascus sword and I get a full body-suit of Norse Interlace... heh heh heh...

I have traded a wax casting model of a bronze knife for another tattoo on my leg... and let's see... I have also traded a damascus Scramasax billet for a *very* nice SCA Vendel style helmet.

But some of the best trades are for cash. ;-)

I traded a small hunter and some cash for a new floor in my shop. I think we both got a good deal.

I traded a production Busse for my first digital camera. I have yet to trade for one of my customs, although I want to. I just haven't found my knife collecting tattoo artist:) Maybe I will have to visit Jonathan:)

When in Michigan I traded a knife for semi-professional photography services.

I just traded a knife for 2-Elk antlers, 4- Mulie antlers and a group to be disclosed later.

I also trade knives for all of my production steel.

Trading is a gooooood thing!!:) :) :) :)

Trading is a great thing.

Gene drives a truck he got for a knife.

He built the additons to his shop with materials he got trading knives.

He's even had a chiropractor trade his services for knives.

Being in the service business, I often trade my services for knives. Then again, when I want to refine my collection, I'll trade a few knives for other items. Of course I have not any serious trading since, uh, yesterday.

As good as the pictures you take are, I'd say the person your trading with definitely gets their "money's" worth in the deal.

Thank you dear. The best trade is when both people think they got the better end of the deal.

Pat forgot that when we got married, I paid the preacher with a knife of mine.
Bro. Ron Malone still treasures this same knife today, 12 years later.(And I still treasure my wife.) :)
