Are you guys spreading the word about the CDK Forums? I've been getting on the average about 2-3 emails a day lately from either new makers asking questions, or folks inquiring about a specific type of knife.

I answer the questions to the best of my ability and then suggest that they come join us at the forums. If someone requests a knife that is outside the parameters of what I do, I'll send them over here, or to the CKD main site, or directly to one of the members websites. Who knows, maybe one of your sales stemmed from one of those referrals. :)

I was just wondering if anyone else was referring folks over here too. It's a great place to be. I've made some good friends on these forums.

Terry , I have lost count of the emails that I have gotten from new makers,want to be makers and dealers and i have referred them all to the CKD and have referred some directly to other makers.This one reason why I opened the invitation to join (earlier) in another tread .This is a great place to have .

I had a member in my shop just this last weekend that is wanting to learn more about making knives.Don't worry I did not scare them a way from it. :)

I have directed quite a few people towards this forum, and other makers sites. Both through E-mail and At knife shows.
This is such a great resource that I just have to share it with others!!

I refer everyone to the CKD. My CKD link on the other forums draws a lot of folks in as well. Just ask Alex about the click throughs. A lot of folks lurk here all the time. Discussions I had at the show confirmed this. I have a return customer who bought one of my knives on the CKD last year and just emailed for another. A whole lot of people follow the photo contests very closely and i never heard a negative comment about the contest. All were impressed at the continuing increase in quality of the submissions.
