Overall, I find it to be a great knife. The grip feels good in any position. I like the new profile on the blade. It will do well as a utility self defense blade, just as J. Keating planned. The extreme clip will really work at "sniping" cuts in a sd aplication.

Down side, the pivot pin is slightly undersized for the pivot hole in the blade. This permits a bit of lateral play when opening the knife. Which, also results in blade rub. I have found that the lock benefits from the addition of Boye detent. With a solid grip, I found that I was very slightly depressing the lock. This little bit will not compromise the lock. It is just an annoyance to me.

If Spyderco tightens up the pivot area and eliminates the lateral blade play. The Chinook 2 would stay at the top of my favorite production list. As it is, it is just a favorite design.
