Okay, so I just saw these two pictures of the Joseph Rodgers & Sons stag and ivory cellars in a book. The pictures are about 100 years old.....wonder if there's any of that ivory left?

Wouldn't it be great if those cellars under Norfolk Street were still stocked like that? Andy Gascoigne is our man on location, maybe we'll have to send him into Sheffield to take a look :)

Heres a story to make you weep,

I heard the other day of a building contractor in Sheffield doing some work on an old cuttlers workshop. When he removed a partition wall he found boxes and boxes of pocket knife blades, ivory and bone knife handles etc.

He asked the widow of the old cuttler what she wanted to do with everything and she told him everything was to be dumped!!.

I am sure that there are more Alladins caves of old materials to be found, just hope its me on site when theyre opened!!.
