If you're interested in the making of knives, the real how-to's, this website is the only one available to all that is comprehensive. Listen Guys, I'm not in the same league as many of you (but I'm working at it), but hats off to the contributors to the tutorials and the moderators that help get guys like me off the ground. CUDOS to you all. Thanks for being here. I've been making crude knives all my life, but now, the finished products are starting to look like something! Hey Dan,
If your wife thinks that they are getting better then most likely they are. When I finish a knife I take it to the house and show it to my wife. If she can't find anything worng with it then it is a good one, if she does she just plays dumb and ask some sort of question like "is this spot going to hurt anything", or "is this supposed to look this way?"
I then take it back to the shop and either fix it or redo it. Our better halfs seem to be able to be our biggest fans and worst critics at the same time. Gotta Love Em :lol:
Keep on improving on each one, not many makers ever make the perfect knife but we keep trying.
