Who's going? I'm looking forward to putting some faces with some names, and it might not be too early to start planning a CKD evening get-together.

View Full Version : Spirit of Steel Show Don Cowles 08-16-2001, 09:28 AM Who's going? I'm looking forward to putting some faces with some names, and it might not be too early to start planning a CKD evening get-together. Mike Conner 08-16-2001, 10:24 AM I'll be there on Friday, looking forward to meeting some more CKD people myself. Mike Brad Duncan 08-16-2001, 12:46 PM I will be there.Dont know what table yet.I hope to see you all there. Brad Duncan Jason G Howell 08-16-2001, 05:08 PM I'll be there guys, ABS section. I'll keep checking here. If things work out, I hope to maybe join y'all this time! Les Robertson 08-16-2001, 06:07 PM I'll be set up there. Just a note, Thursday night there is an auction. Probably take 90 minutes or so. Friday night the ABS has a dinner. Les samhell99 08-16-2001, 06:24 PM I'll be there. From the list of makers going, should be a great show. James ScottWiley 08-16-2001, 11:19 PM I'll be there on Saturday. I'm really glad a serious knife show has come to the D/FW area. And it only being an hours drive from my house doesn't hurt either. Scott atbarr 08-17-2001, 08:37 AM I've got a table. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you. I lived in Mesquite back in the early '60's. Stay Safe, A.T. Gary Mulkey 08-17-2001, 12:50 PM I'll have a table there. Don't know the location yet. Because of performing here in Branson, I don't get a chance to make many shows outside of my local area so I'm looking forward to it. See you there. Gary Fall Creek Knifeworks Terry Hearn 08-18-2001, 03:54 PM See y'all there. Hopefully I'll have a few folders to take along. Its hot down here in East, Tx and I'm running way behind.:) Terrill Hoffman 08-24-2001, 10:49 AM Add me to the list. As soon as I finish up the Southeastern show I start packing for Texas. Bob Warner 08-24-2001, 05:45 PM I plan on going as a spectator (no table). I will go either Thursday or Friday and again on Saturday with my family. Should I go on Thursday or Friday? I want to go on the day that would most likely be slow. I want to talk to a lot of you but do not want to interfere with sales. Also, I will have some trouble putting names with "User Names" from the CKD. For example (and NOT picking); Samhell99 your Bio shows your first name as James but there is no last name so how would I find you at the show? Those that use their real names will be easy but the alias names can be difficult. If you use an alias, please update your profile so we can make the connection between real names and your alias. Shotgunone 08-24-2001, 09:02 PM I'm planning on being there. No table. I am planning on meeting lots of you guys and hope to bring a few knives so I can get some pointers. I hope to make it Friday. Geno 08-25-2001, 08:54 AM I'll be there. :) Bob Warner 08-29-2001, 06:43 PM For those that rent tables at the shows, which day (thursday or Friday) would be the slowest for sales? I want to talk to several people but don't want to interfere with potential customers. I will be there Saturday as well. winstonknives 08-30-2001, 07:27 PM I will have a table again this year. Looking forward to meeting eveyone. David Winston sec/treas Ms. Knifemakers Association blackstocks 08-31-2001, 07:38 AM I have a table and am looking forward to seeing everyone. Don Cowles 09-13-2001, 07:39 AM If you will be there, and are interested in getting together for dinner one evening, let me know. cajun bones 09-15-2001, 08:42 PM I'm game for dinner with as many people as we can get together at one time! My wife and myself will be there- Friday being the best day for us. This very "green" newbie would really like the chance to meet and talk with as many of you as possible. :) Chris Don Cowles 09-16-2001, 06:12 AM Why don't we plan on dinner Friday night? I'll try to put a signup list at my table- stop by and we can work out the details. Terrill Hoffman 09-17-2001, 06:28 AM Don, sign me up for dinner. Jerry Hossom is riding to the show with me so add him to the list. Mike Conner 09-17-2001, 12:13 PM Terrill, What's the matter? Don't you trust Jerry's car :) Mike Terrill Hoffman 09-17-2001, 12:41 PM NO! Not after his fire on the way to the Southeastern show last year. Just playing but since I have to drive from Charlotte and go right through Atlanta, I just pick him up on the way. atbarr 09-17-2001, 01:04 PM Good old Terrill, he'll do anything to keep a customer. ;^) Stay Safe, A.T. Mike Conner 09-21-2001, 08:11 AM What are the official hours for the show? I haven't seen them posted anywhere. Mike atbarr 09-21-2001, 08:24 AM Yeah, I had to email and ask what the hours are. Anyway, 2PM-7PM Thursday, 9AM-6PM Friday, and 9AM-5PM on Saturday. Put Chuck Dominy and me down for dinner Friday. Stay Safe, A.T. Mike Conner 09-21-2001, 09:29 AM Thanks A.T. Mike m l williams 09-21-2001, 11:05 AM Gonna be there with bells on. You fellas introduce yourself when you come by my table. Be nice to put a face with a forum handle. Lots of ABS guys are coming. Some really good knives. Take care mike Mike Conner 09-25-2001, 10:25 AM Does anyone have a schedule for the demonstrations that usually accompany the shows? Last year they were on Bruce's web site, but I can't find anything this year. Mike Gary Mulkey 09-25-2001, 01:25 PM It's noon, Tuesday and I just finished the last knife that I'll work on until after the show. Hope to see a good number of you there. Gary Geno 09-26-2001, 10:52 PM Pat and I will be heading out tomorrow morning. Just finished the last of what needed (or could be) done. You may not get much of a chance to see us together though. She'll be aking care of the TKCA table and I'll be at ours. Just look for the redhead chasing the 3-year old around (for those who don't know what she looks like). See you there. | |
