This is my first attempt at working stellite 6k. Bolsters are Damasteel Odins Eye pattern and scales are mastodon.
The serrations that appear are an optical illusion from the scanner.
Here it is.http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=200133&a=1470409&p=54676669&Sequence=0&res=high

George,
VERY NICE!! Is there going to be a second, third and so on??? I'm assuming there will be or you would have titled this thread "My LAST Stellite knife!! :) Personally I like the material and don't mind working with it. I'm interested to hear what you thought of working with it.

For my first exposure to Stellite I am very encouraged, the material grinds and finishes very well. It polished to a very bright finish, a cloudy mirror I would say. The fine grain is easy to work with but is just enough to defeat anyone trying for a mirror finish. The one thing that impressed me was the ability to etch the bolsters on the blade without damaging the blade finish.
This was just a test piece that I tried out a number of techniques on. The only thing that I miss is the ability to dress up the grind with a file of necessary.
I have decide to add it to my line for smaller pieces of this style.
