I am interested in the concept of making a balisong. Any of you have advice, tips or hints and such for me to get started? Keep in mind that I know next to nothing about balisongs.

Osprey Guy 11-17-2003, 02:39 PM Speaking as someone who also knew nothing at all about Balisongs, get one of the new Typhoon kits from Classic Knifekits. Designed by Darrel Ralph, working on the Typhoon has been a real eye-opener for me (as in,...there's a lot more to a good balisong than meets the eye ;) ). I can't imagine an easier way to get to really understand what a Balisong is all about...and when you're finished you'll be the proud owner of one sweet knife! Darrel did a great job in getting all aspects of the bali into a kit form that allows everyone to learn how a bali is put together, and how it works. If you run into any issues, come back here and ask, someone should be able to help you out. I think even I could make a balisong from that! :D T. Hendrickson 11-19-2003, 09:35 PM yes, terry, you did a very good job. Thank you very much. I can see that you know what you are doing. That gives me a lot to go off of. whv 12-29-2003, 06:00 PM not having been over here in awhile, i missed this last month. thanx for the tutorial, terry! | |
