Nice work!!! Where does one get Carpathian Burly Elm??? Where is Carpathia??? :) Neil Don Cowles 10-02-2001, 04:47 AM Carpathian elm burl can be reclaimed from the dashboards of vintage Rolls Royces. Mondt 10-02-2001, 10:29 AM Looking good Bob! Feels good to get a bunch done at once doesn't it? Mike Conner 10-02-2001, 11:51 AM Something draws me to the Black Micarta. Looks like a practical little user. Mike Bob Warner 10-02-2001, 12:03 PM I have looked out in the back yard and ALL of my vintage Rolls Royses have had all of the Carpathian Burly Elm removed. I would consider sneaking over to the neighbors and getting some from them but they only have a few Rolls and I don't want to leave them without something still in decent condition. Is there another place one could find this stuff? Don Cowles 10-02-2001, 12:15 PM check this link for info: www.woodmosaic.com/encycl...mburl.html (http://www.woodmosaic.com/encyclopedia/carpelmburl.html) A seach should reveal several sources. Mostly available as veneer. ansoknives 10-02-2001, 01:51 PM way cool Dude!! BCB27 10-02-2001, 06:40 PM Bob, That's a nice bunch of knives you have there. I have to agree with some of the others about that Carpathian Elm. It's some really nice stuff. Brett dogman 10-02-2001, 06:53 PM I got the wood on ebay from Cook Woods.
