This here is a drawing of the biggest knife I have ever forged 8" blade prolly 13 to 14 " overall. O-1 differentially hardened, copper guard, Box Elder Burl handle.

well I imagine I`ll have it done in a few days, unfortunately I don`t build knives full time :(

I think a lot of folks don't realize how helpful (if not downright necessary) it is to do what Ron has done here. Sketching out what you plan to do, refining and altering proportions and details, is an essential part of the knifemaking process.

The knife itself is only the realization of the design. If the design was crappy or non-existant, not much can be expected of the knife. Thanks for showing us this, Ron!
