This weekend was a gathering of forging and knifemaking folks in Georgia. Several who attended were from the NCCKG. John and I were there as spectators. But also from the NCCKG was forger Ken Simmons of Penguin Forge and new knifemaker Brent Fisher.

Brent is the newest in the breed of "Gentlemen forgers". Below are pictures and a look at Brents first forging attempt. Also Ken Simmons at work.

Chuck,

How in the world could I have forgotten you!!!! Your compliments on the newsletter were greatly appreciated. I told John you were there and told him which one you were. I guess age:( and the trip over the mountains:eek: twice in one day has affected my brain cells.

Will you be coming to the NCCKG meeting in Castle Hayne this Saturday?

Joan

Hey Mrs. Joan,

It was really nice to meet you.... The magazine is great, it would drive me crazy trying to do that. I don't think I will be at the meeting, twice a year off the mountain is about all I can handle. Where the heck is Castle Hayne anyway? Don't think I've ever heard of it.
