Hi everyone, thought you might like to have a look at my second folding knife and the first one done on my home built 8" wheel grinder.
specs are :-
3" blade 7" over all length.440C
Mother of pearl scales with 24ct gold plated 0-80's
Ti bolsters and frame with Ti spacer all anodised electric blue
Mother of pearl set into end of pivot pin and thumb stud.
Hope you like it as much as I have enjoyed making it !!
ps The patterning on the blade is a reflection of clouds on a great sunny day here in U.K !!

Looking good Andy. Looking very good!
I don't know of anyone else over here making folders with titanium and pearl. It's all brass and wood or there's Farid....
I want to see number three, and four and five.... end of October okay?
Any more fixed blades on the way?
Roger
Absolutely beautiful and only your second folder to boot. I think the lines are exceptional and everything just seems to work. Very nice indeed.

Thanks Roger
Don't know about anymore before end of the month!!!! maybe Christmas.
My next knives are going to be traditional spring back(slip joint) folders. Do you have any contacts in the UK for 1/8" thick nickel silver sheet for bolsters ?
By the way who is Farid and does he have a web site.?
Thanks Keith for the nice comments, yes everyone who has handled the knife comments on how well it fits the hand and how smooth the action is. My only problem with knife making in the U.K is the lack of suitable and readily available materials, see above re Nickel silver!!.
Hope to have a slip joint folder ready for Christmas.

Thanks Bruce,
most of the compliments must go to all of you on CKD who have helped and ecouraged me with my knife making.
By the way I regularly check out your web site for the tutorials, great work!!.
I have had the great pleasure to meet the world famous Sheffield Pocket knife maker, Stan Shaw today in his old workshop in Sheffield, it was like stepping back in time 100years as Stan still uses many of the old cutlers tools of yesteryear.
If some of you are wondering who Stan Shaw is just do a search on Sheffiled knife makers, he has made knives for royalty and many U.S presidents.
Only one disapointment with the meating was that Stan told me my knife making was'nt "Real" knife making but good engineering due to the fact that I did'nt forge the blade and the assembly was with screws and not rivited together.
I wonder if this attitude to knife making is the reason he his one of the last makers in the famous steel city.No disrespect intended!!
Andy..
