Hey folks,
Every now and then I get lucky. I was scouting on the 'net and came upon this dagger on eBay. I bid, I won, I received. WOW!!!
The maker is Stan McKiernan from IL, and he is a full-time maker. This little beauty has a wonderful fluted ox horn handle with pinned and inlaid silver wire, carefully carved stainless guard and pommel, and a wicked blade that is razor sharp and has a combination of satin and polished finish. The wonderful sheath is made of wenge wood, and it fits perfectly. Top-quality workmanship.
I emailed Stan, and he tells me he has about 18 hours labor into this. I would imagine so! (It went for such a low price, that I feel guilty for my delight!)
At any rate, I promised Stan I would show it off for some mileage. Enjoy the view! :)
