But NOW I do!

Well, those that know me, know I love the fancy stuff. But not exclusively. I have a diverse collection, and like it because of such.

Butch Valloton 'Espionage' tactical folder, from Roberston's Custom Cutlery 'Vanguard' Collection. Les encouraged me, on my query for a fine tactical knife, to go for this one. I couldn't be more pleased. Dual action with a trick front scale release. Very limited edition (25) with this mechanism, shape, and materials.

This knife opens with such a CLACK when you hit the 'Overdrive' release. You gotta believe! I have to put it away--it's too much fun! :rollin:

Lordy, lordy, I sure hope that handle isn't jigged bone...

Now Don what is wrong with jigged bone?????I have a couple of old folders that are at least 50 years old and the bone still looks very good---Bet you can't say that about g-10 or carbon fiber--I also have a very old hawk bill folder with rosewood handles, that I found in a fishing tackel box. The last time it was used was 1932. I was given the box in 1972 and the handles and knife look great for a 70 year old. I know the new synthethics will last more than a life time and that is scary- knowing that god awful, ugly stuff will be here that long. But then again beauty is in the eys of the beholder.

Rade, I was pulling Les Robertson's leg, since this knife comes from him, and he hates jigged bone. I like it just fine.

$10 !!!! I forgot about this amount untill Alex mentioned it. The he pulls out not one, but a roll of hundreds! Man, you nailed me here!

That's right, that knife is worth at LEAST one--two hundred. ;)

Don, what say we talk about replacing the scales with jigged bone and mokume bolsters. Can you do it? :D Les--what's been the trend for this???!! :p (You're an easy target!)

OK, I'll stop. All in fun.
