View Full Version : Itching for a folder

Hello all.
I've been itching to get my hands on a folder to engrave for some time now. I dont get them too often from customers so I think I'm just going to buy one for fun. I am relatively new to engraving and I'm from the jewelry buisiness so I dont even know who, how or where to go about getting what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a small coffin handle interframe (damascus blade).Would anyone have any suggestions on how to go about aquiring one?

Also I joined fototime and still cant figure out how to post pics. I dont know where i'm going wrong. Any and all tips would be very very appreciated.

welcome, and you may want to look into the computer forum, there is a tutorial there.

If you have already done that then you may want to post you question there and state the steps you are taking. I'm sure the pros will find the oversight.

I have searched the turtorials and there is only one that I found and It will not let me in it. So I'm just goin to call a friend and see if he can walk me through it.

This may help.

After you've uploaded the picture to your fototime account, right-click on the mouse and pick "copy image location".
Open the submit post screen on the forum and click on IMG.
A box will open to paste the image location to.

IMPORTANT: In the formatting window you'll see the ( http:/ /) symbol ... delete the one in the window, otherwise you'll have two of those symbols listed and the picture doesn't show.
Try this, it works for me.

You want an all stainless folder to engrave on? I make a very cool coffin style folding dagger with an oval inlay or plain 416 ss. I'd be glad to make you one for engraving. Email me if interested. You can see the design on my website just scroll down to the thumbnail pics on my Photo Album and there are several there.

Note: the hair barrett prototype above is only 1.5x2.5 inches in "real life" I just have to figure out how to make them fit on the page now:D
