This knife is available during a silent auction and all proceeds from the sale will go to the Special Olympics. Larry Nordell, who is in charge of the fund raising for this event, has made Central Utah Correctional Facility #3 in donations to the Special Olympics in the state of Utah. This little trout/paring knife (depending on how you look at it!) is made with an ATS-34 stainless steel blade, stainless tubes for fasteners and "bone-stag" handles, the first handle of this material I've ever used. I kind of like it!
The beautiful brain tanned and beaded sheath is donated by Nathan Buckman, a fellow teacher, at the facility. He is also a bowyer/mountain man who tanned the leather and did the beadwork himself. This includes the rawhide lining inside the sheath. The rest of the staff in the Education dept. has also contributed toward this auction item. I hope someone will like this little knife and that we can do well by this worthy cause.
Send any offers to me at: srj@manti.com
