Hoe does Ti compare to ss as a linerlock? Are there any design constraints for using it? Is it suitable for using knives? Does it make a better knife or make knifemaking easier?

I'm currently building kit folders and hope to start customizing soon and then move on to my own designs.

Thanks, Phil

SS is somewhat easier to work with but it must be heat treated to make a durable and strong lock. Titanium isn't that much harder to use and it doesn't need to be heat treated. It's also lighter in weight and stronger. You'll see mass production knives using stainless liners but handmade knives more often use titanium liners, more exotic heat treating for the blades, and better blade materials than commercial knives. That's why the customers buy them ....
