I wanted to post this testimonal from one of our clients who recently picked up a knife through the CKD "Maker Direct" Listing System. Since Rade is a personal friend, he's the most likely one to send me these to review as they come in. See why I love this site?

Dear Rade,
Yes, I did receive it. I haven't had so much fun in years. The mailman came as I was heading off for a round of golf so I threw the package in my golf cart and opened it at the course. Now, a dozen or so people who previously knew nothing about knives, now know what a quality custom knife is all about. I held a golf score card in my left hand and made three quick slices across a corner, slicing off three pieces. The third was off before the first hit the ground!
Of the 11 custom knives I own, yours has the nicest, cleanest blade of them all! The blade is straight, perfectly symmetrical about the spine, the point is strong, the satin finish of the blade is absolutely PERFECT, the guard solder joint is clean and tight, (my main quality guage), the wood is beautiful and it sits comfortably in the hand. Other than that.... Yes, I like it! Please don't raise your prices on my account - I may have do more business with you!
For what it's worth, I've bought a blade, bolts, bolsters, a chunk of Box Elder Burl and am going to TRY to make a knife. It may take a month with hand tools but it's a good excuse to convince the wife that I absolutely HAVE to buy a small grinder, drill press and whatever... The first one will be poor, the second better and, who knows, I might eventually make a decent looking knife - if I still have all my fingers and toes. I'm sure you are worried about the competition!
You make a great knife, Rade, I love it. Keep up the good work.

The CKD rocks ... pure and simple! But, mostly "pure" ("pure" custom knives, that is! :) )
For all members using the "maker direct" system, please send us your client comments after you sell a knife. As you know, these sales are between you and the customer, so we don't see the testimonials unless the customer writes us, or you forward their comments ... believe me, this is what we live for "having fun selling great knives" ... send them in, please!
