Making knives would be near as much fun if we didn't share our passion with folks that love to collect knives. That is why the CKD is a knife maker and collector haven. We already had a powerful right cross with Jerry, but now we have the left hook of Dexter to complete the 1-2 combination. OK, enough metaphors:)

Thank you for the warm welcome, guys. I'm glad to be on board! Those of you (probably right many...) who also keep up with the other knife discussion site BladeForums.com, already know a lot about me. But for those who don't a short synopsis is in order:

I've been an avid knife collector/enthusiast for 9 years. I've always liked tools of all kinds and I see the knife as such. Well, you know the story - you buy one, then you get another, then yet another.... :)

For the last 4 years I have been active in the knife industry as a writer. My first "gig" was being a contributing editor with Knives Illustrated, then about 2 years ago Blade Magazine had asked me to contribute as well. I wrote for both magazines for a while then decided to cut back to just working with Blade Magazine (they know how to keep me hopping :) ) Recently, I have been contacted by Shotgun News to supply knife articles for them every now and then. Be on the lookout for the first article which will be in the 7/20 issue. So in between working with the two publications I manage to stay out of trouble....more like getting into more! LOL

Currently, my interest in knives evolve around folders, namely tactical in both the custom and production variety. I also have an interest in fixed blades and neck knives as well. but like any hardcore knife nut, I appreciate knives of all styles.

I look forward to becoming more involved with the CKD forum. Anytime you would like to chat about knives, feel free to post or email me anytime.
