I was recently in Pheonix, AZ and looked at some Buck knives that had been rehandled by an artist who calls himself "Ghostown". His work looks a lot like David Yellowhorse's and it is quite expensive i.e. fixed blade knives in the $1,300.00 each range. I have searched the web trying to find any information on this artist and to date have found nothing. Does anyone know anything about this?????? Any info would be appreciated.

Dave,
I saw one of his knives up north of me in roundup Mt. in a trading post. This knife as I remember (it's been a year or so) was also over $1000. Next time I'm up there I'll ask some questions.

The guy who does this work lives in Apache Junction Arizona. A lot of his stuff is sold at the tourist shops in Scottsdale.(therefore is overpriced because of the location) He does turquoise/stone/silver/copper/brass/gold inlay work which is far above the Yellowhorse work. A local dealer has a lot of his folders at VERY reasonable prices (LT 400.00) The $1000.00 pieces mentioned were most likely sold in tourist shops because the most expensive I've ever seen is around $550.00. The shop in Phoenix is Kats Cutlery.

Speaking of Yellowhorse, was in my local Knife Shop (a chain) and saw an SOG multitool redone by Yellowhorse, very nice, but WAAAAYYY overpriced if you ask me.
