Hey Ron-

When you told me you'd finished a black lip pearl folder, you should have warned me that you had all this interesting stuff going on all over the handle and spine...8o :p 8o

Love the pattern on the sides...I'm particularly interested in the raised "frame" you created around it...very cool. What part is inlay and what part is engraved? Can't make out the gold...

OK, as your friend I especially hate to say this, but I'm afraid I'm going to agree with you about the photos... you've got me chomping at the bit wanting to jump in my car and drive the 1 1/2hours just so I can get a better look at this very tasty knife ;)

I have to assume that the Bob Eggerling damascus you used for the blade is great-looking...but can't see it here at all...Same is true of the black lip pearl...I'm sure it's gorgeous but...

The filework look very impressive...and it should be coming from you...sure wish I could see it better....

Either you had an "off" night or something happened to your camera's settings... because I know you can take much better pics...Heck, you've got good-looking photos posted all over this forum... and this knife deserves to be seen in the best possible light. (And no, it's not the camera...that happens to be a very decent camera...nicer than mine anyway)

I really would like to see this knife, and the coffin handle model you completed as well. If you're not busy, how about I pop up sometime this weekend? While I'm visiting maybe we can take a look at your camera and figure out if something happened to the settings...I'm not all that knowledgeable about cameras, but maybe if we put our two heads together we can get lucky...

As always, very cool knife!

I'll give you a call tomorrow...

I really like this knife. Great materials, great execution, great filework, and beautiful engraving. I'll bet that pearl really provides some magic when the light hits it.

Now be honest -- you forgot to turn on the lights when you took the picture, right?;) :D

Ron,

this is a beautiful piece. You put together a superb combo! It has everything I like about a great gents folder. :D

Give us a second chance at viewing this beauty. It deserves your best foot forward.

Coop (...and that Levin knife needs someone to 'do it justice'. Hmmmmm.... ;))
