This is a familiar style, one that I've used for several (many?) Swamp Rat knives. This is a Fallkniven H1, requested by a customer in California, very small guard, just enough to provide enough purchase for the keeper throat/strap. Tight little package, treated with beeswax/oil over a single coat of Golden Oak oil stain. Switched to Pull the Dot snaps, seem to be a very good quality snap. Note on these snaps -- the male snap has a raised pedestal, which means that the strap leather used has to be on the thin side, no more than 6 oz.

Nothing less than what I would expect from Mike. I have used the pull the dot snaps off and on for several years now and the jury is still out as far as I am concerned. I guess they do have a place that makes them superior, I just have not found it yet. The socket portion of the Dot snaps comes in three strengths, regular, medium and hard and I find that is sufficient for all my requirements---Sandy

Thanks Sandy, I wasn't aware that they made different pull strengths -- I do wish they made the posts longer than 5/16" to handle thicker leather, but I can live with it.
All rested up from the vacation? When are we going to see some more Morrissey-Magic? This "little storm" that's dumping on us will probably keep me shoveling for 2 more days, little time for cutting 'n stitching. 2 feet already and still falling !!

Mike-It's only coming down wet here, not white. :D

Good looking rig.

Check out the Sheath Gallery shortly for some of Sandy's lovelies.

WET??? In Conifer, where I used to live back in the late '70s (Navy/Martin Marietta gig, long story) they've got 4 feet and calling for 3 more tonight and tomorrow !! Sure, we need the water, but all at once? It was still doing the Crystal ChaCha last time I looked outside -- too old for that much "exercise" -- HAR !!
You bet I'll be looking for Sandy's next posts -- always a joy :)

KOWABUNGA DUDE!!!:smokin  :smokin

Yup! wet and warm. Guess that cold front stalled north of here. Was talking to a guy (new customer nice FAT order) from Grand Junction and he said they were wet there too. Of course that's down in the lowlands at only 4500 ASL or so.:D

I just posted Sandy's pics.

Back to work-

Sorry guys -- forgot about his thread while I was shoveling out:D We topped out at 34 inches, and it was that heavy wet stuff, took two days to even get the county to plow our road. After a little coaxing the Jeep made a couple of passes up and down the drive, and by this afternoon I'm down to dirt again!
Dave, 87 in March -- sounds like Buenos Aires;)
Between shoveling and shivering I was forced to stay at my bench watching/listening to FoxNews. Good news is I got 2 pieces finished that might have waited if the Golf-Gods had been smiling on us. Every cloud, silver lining, etc, etc,
