Today, I received an e-mail from Bob Rosenfeld telling me that North Carolina Custom Knifemakers Guild member Terry "Gator" Cash died after a bout with cancer. Gator will be sorely missed by all of us.

The first real time I got to spend getting to know Gator was at supper at one of our Guild meetings. I had the the great pleasure of being seated beside him and Bob. Never have I laughed at 2 people so much. They sure made this Georgia girl feel mighty welcome that night. That is a gift that many people today just do not have.

Mr. Cash struck me so much as being cut from the same cloth as my favorite Uncle Joe. And tonight I can tell you as surely as I am sitting here, Gator and Uncle Joe are probably sitting next to Jesus at the table and have Him in stitches.

We will miss you Gator but we all look forward to seeing you again someday.
