Nice elegant look to the whole design. Tim Cwax 02-28-2003, 06:23 AM Vey nice Ronn,I would like to see it when it is finished,Do you use Steve L tools? ron p. nott 02-28-2003, 07:59 AM Thanks too all for your kind coments.. Cwax to answer your questions .. yes i do use steves engraving system and i thinks it is great.. I used one tool to do all of the engraving and the gold inlays.. as for me posting photos of the finished knife i dont know.. The maked is Jack Levin and i am hoping i can get Jack to join this forum and post photos of his beautiful work.. It is always a pleasure to work for Jack . His knifes are a chalange to engrave.. The knife will be hot blued for the final finish Jack is going to try to have it finished for the n.y. show in march.. Osprey Guy 02-28-2003, 12:24 PM I got to handle this incredible piece in person last weekend and it is hard to imagine the final result as being anything less than breathtaking...Hell, it's cool enough just as an unfinished knife handle!!! I had driven up to the Lewisburg, PA Knife Show with Ron last saturday...Ron had a table there. We pulled up around 8:30 am and didn't leave until after the Knifemaker's Buffet Dinner at around 8:00PM! For a relatively small event this was a very cool show...some serious talent there! I didn't know where to turn first...so many talented knifesmiths. I was especially excited when Ken Steigerwalt showed up...that guy can make some knives! All day long I watched as people walked by Ron's table justifiably fascinated by his numerous engraving (and knifemaking) samples laid out on his table. You can't believe what he's done with those Colts, all sitting in a neat row, until you've actually seen them in person... Ron's knives aren't too shabby either. ;) And then there was this Levin knife handle...whew! :D Dennis Yeah Baby!:smokin whv 02-28-2003, 08:11 PM i am hoping i can get Jack to join this forum and post photos of his beautiful work twist his arm real good, ron. i would really like to see photos of this when blued. it can only enhance the nice job you did on this yourself! thanx | |
