CKDadmin 07-17-2001, 09:19 PM I'll start a banner display program for CKD forum members with web sites, if there's any interest.
I don't want 5,000,000 banners in the rotation, but I would consider setting a # of posts as the incentive. I'm thinking any member with 500+ posts gets in the banner rotation. Any member with 1000+ gets a slight increase in the frequency.
Call it a CKD "frequent poster" program ...
Anyone?

The banner program was recently revised just a bit. Some members were writing me personally to ask what they could do to get a banner on the forum, without hitting the 500 post level. In order to accomodate everyone, I made a decision to offer rotation placement to anyone supporting KnifeSeek.com through the banner placement program, there ... additionally being placed in the rotation here is part of the overall package now. This is a "very low-cost" yearly program, and helps us support that site/system as well.
As stated earlier, however, 500 posts on this forum is all the qualifier you need to be placed in the banner rotation here ... so, that program hasn't changed.
The new program is designed to offer a way for everyone, even those too busy, to participate in the way they can best achieve ...

Anyways..I am on the way to get that 500th post so does not really matter that much........But I do need some help to have a banner made..!

No, 500 posts are all you need to get a banner in the rotation here. The method I described above was for those who have been on me about getting a banner in the rotation without making 500 posts up-front.
Actually, that's what I wanted it to be about to begin with, but some of these guys have legitimate arguments and they have the opportunity now, too. That is, if they join the KnifeSeek banner sponsor program, a yearly paid placement deal, they get added to this rotation as part of the package.
Adding the KnifeSeek applet to your site is what allows the search engine to keep your pages indexed and displaied in the results during searches. As long as you have that, you're in ...
What we're talking about are those sponsor banners you see on the KnifeSeek site.
I think we have one Banner for you on the CKD ... are you talking about changing that to a new one, or did you want to use that when the time comes?

You didn't ask me, but Geno alone has 681 posts. If you add Pat's 288 posts as part of the Center Cross company, then Center Cross has 969 posts.
I think I did that many this morning alone. :)
