I'm working on the demos for the April meeting and need a few more volunteers, So far I have four or five demos lined up and I need 3 more to round out the two day meeting.
Give it some thought and let me know if there is anything you want to present. Don't let not being an expert stop you... it hasn't stopped me. :D

Andrew,
I still haven't worked out the bugs yet on my mokume so don't put me down as a definte for doing a demo.
If I do get it down pat I will bring everything to the meeting and be there as a backup.

Got an idea. If we can get access to a computer using Windows then I can take my CAD program and do a demo on the benefits of CAD in knifemaking. We could even try a bit of hands-on work if anyone wants to.

Barry, that sounds like a real good idea. CAD programming is something I've been interested in learning more about.
Could you check with Wayne Bernauer to see if they have a computer available? Then just let me know. Joan wants the demos for the Newsletter by the end of the month.

I will see what Wayne says and get back with you.

Barry,
Will a laptop do? I will have my laptop with me (WinXP) but you know the line of sight is a problem with flat screens. If the school has the overhead setup then we could use that on a wall in a large room.

I just got an email reply from Wayne Bernauer and he told me that I will be able to use his computer for my CAD demo. Looks like we are all set to go.

Barry, I'm glad to hear it. Do you think 20 or so members will be able to see the screen. Could you check with Wayne to see if this would work, and if they have a projector as Joan mentioned?
