I am getting ready to order a harbor freight 8" inch buffer 3/4 horse 3450 rpm. I am alos going to order a second grinder the grizzly knife grinder with buffer. so I will have a spot for a buff there and on the new harbor freights two spots. And my question is should I order eight inch, six inch wheels, or tens? Also have any of you used the brush on paste gritt compounds that you let dry overnight and then have gtitts from 150,240,340,400,600,800 grit for sale in janz? I have a 1750 buffer with 6 inch wheels and one is a sewn buff and the other a jewlwers buff. I use fabuluster white and green. I also have grey matchless that I use on a 6 inch hard buff. what do I need to do here? I mainly use buzz saw blades and metal files and some cross cut saw blades. I use a lot of antler for handles. I have read past threads on buffing but am still confused. I am looking for the fastest mirror polish I can get. There are alot of threads on this subject and everyone does it differnt. I have belts for my 2x72 grinder from 36 grit to 900 grit. and I can speed it up and slow it down with step puleys.
