I have been talking to Alex and Reese Weiland about this and now I want to poll everyone else. Reese would like to do a technical forum for making folders (and switches). This man is one of the best at it and really knows equipmentand techniques. He was the co-designer of the SEAL black knife, which pretty much set off the tactical and automatic market as we know it. He has done designs for Microtech and has done most of their custom grinds. He has helped other makers break into the high end production side of things. He also has a great deal of knowledge of machinery. It takes about the same amount of time to make a folder as it does a fixed blade yet you pretty much double your money. I think that appeals to a lot of us, especially those that put bread on the table with their knives.
