In reference to this tread [here] ( this tread is for posting pictures of yours or any others sheath for inspiration for sheathmakers. I have posted a tread for comments on the things we show here and have it as a sticky too so we keep this organized.

Here is a few of my sheaths:

first is a sheath made fromhalftanned leather then covered with lizzardskin.

Here is a kydexsheath covered with lizzard:

Here's my first ever sheath (my leatherworker retired & I thought "never mind, leatherworkers are ten a penny" )

Sooo, I sent off to Tandy leather for 1/2 a shoulder, & here's the results...

...never worked with leather (at all) before this, just picked up stuff from you guys...

...took 3 hours, start to finish (including 1 hour in da fridge) & a 1/2" slice outta my right ring finger (that waxed thread sure is nasty stuff:mad:

The preceeding pictures are nothing short of amazing. These are just some simple sheaths I made. Well, hopefully webshots will cooperate. These 2 are for WD Pease swinger knives, he sent me 6 knives and the clips for hooking to a belt loop.

This one for an Ed Chavar stag monocacy, I was trying for the weathered western look to match the stag.

Not sure if I posted this one before. The big one is a huge Newt Livesay bowie and my first big sheath. When I got done stitching with the 2 needle method and no stitching horse my hands were hamburger,LOL. BTW, for this one I followed the instructions in the Loveless book how to make knives on the Bill Moran sheaths. The smaller sheath is for a PJ Tomes Scagel style knife.

I was hoping we would find out about whether we were going to get a new forums or not. I've asked Jens a couple of times and no response. I'm on dial-up and this page takes forever as it is. Apparently a lot of you guys have broadband (lucky dawgs) but for us less fortunates 2-3 minutes to load a page just sucks. So I'm going to hold off for now although I do have more to post.

Hasta la vista

I still love that moccasin belly!
