this is work that I did, (mostly custom) in 2010

Here is just some of the work I have completed this year.

I made this to be raffled off during the 2015 Johnson County Sheriffs Office Charity motorcycle ride (Indiana).

Kitchen knife/chef's knife made from Aldos O1 tool steel, 3/32 thick to start. HT - Texaco type A oil quench. Desert Iron Wood scales (affixed with accraglass and 6 - 3/32 dia brass pins) yellow liners. Ground to about .022 edge thickness and then hand sanded to 800 grit. I applied a layer of renaissance wax for protection, as there will be lots of people handling the knife before it finds it final home.

My Akela from when I was a small child is not in too great a shape at the moment, so I decided to make him a present. It's the second knife I have made, this one already looking much more impressive than the last. :)

Here I let my imagination run wild - I have made strange and unusual tools like the medieval brain drill for a retiring surgeon and the ancient scalpels for a doctor's office. My art knives are always properly forged, heat treated and tempered. No shortcuts just because they are for "show"...

The axe is forged from 4140 and an 1/8 inch piece of 15n20 for the center. Other knives I've completed. Too many as gifts and not for sale.

Just hand forged an axe head from 4140 and added a piece of 1/8" 15n20 to the center and differential HT.
